Webster, MA—The Community Cat Connection (CCC) held its first annual Kitten Shower on Saturday, May 16th. The event was a big success with over 100 people in attendance. Besides the luncheon, there were kid games, face painting, a kitten nursery, a fun bingo game, and door prizes.

Over $1,100 was raised and an estimated $500 in supplies donated for the non-profit, no-kill, volunteer-run shelter for cats and kittens. Special guests were Dog Orphans, Inc of Douglas, a non-profit, no-kill rescue shelter for dogs.

The CCC wishes to thank not only the volunteers and the community for their generous donations and support but also local businesses who donated to this event including Shaw’s, Price Chopper, Oxford’s Dunkin Donuts, Mohegan’s Bowl-A-Drome, and De-Stress with Yoga of Webster.

Also, a special thanks extended for the generosity of the First Congregational Church of Dudley where the event was held. As posted previously, we were picked as one of the weekly $1,000 winners in America's Favorite Animal Shelter Contest, sponsored by Care 2 and Adopt-A-Pet.Com. Thank you so much to everyone who voted, and rest assured that the money has been used to help care for the current cats we have at the shelter.

The great news is that both Care2 and Adopt-A-Pet are having yet another contest for animal shelters! This time it is a new year of hope for animals, and I am asking everyone to please vote for us at this link. We are trying to go for the grand prize of $10,000 this time, but we cannot do it without you!
